MUHAMMAD QAVI KHAN

Muhammad QAVI khan, generally known as QAVI khan is a living legend of Pakistani film and TV industry. He is one of those actors who are god gifted talent towards any nation. He is a matter of proud for Pakistani nation as his achievements has added a lot to Pakistani film industry.

QAVI was born in subcontinent on November 15, 1932.  He was a super talented personality and had passion to do something for the nation. At a very young age of 5 years, QAVI started his career from radio Pakistan. He preferred radio as it was more common those days and was the best source to convey the message to more audience. In 1964, the radio era ended and TV became more popular so he stepped towards TV. In 1968, QAVI got married. He is blessed with two sons and two daughters now.

After getting groomed from his experience he started his film career from PTV. His first film got success and motivated him for further hard work. Then started his lifetime career where he worked for Pakistan film industry for over 35 years and worked in more than 200 films. Some of his famous films include riwaj, pazaib, nadaan , duniya gol hai, ajnabi, society girl, badtameez and many other hits. He is the source of inspiration for upcoming actors in Pakistan film industry.

After serving film industry for over 3 decades, QAVI decided to take retirement and started working as supporting actor in TV serials. He is 80 years old and still working in TV serials where his acting is learning ray for the young talent. He had played numerous roles and had proved to be the best in every role he did. He has a natural power of acting. His natural style and flexible personality makes him stand out of others. Some of his recent TV plays include Mutthi Bhar Mitti, Mannchalay, Meray Qatil Meray Dildar, Phir Chand Pe Dastak, Durr-e-Shahwar, Zindagi Dhoop Tum Ghana Saya, Batiyaan, Dastaan, Aik Nayi Cinderella and some others.

He has won numerous awards for his talent. Some of his prominent achievements include:

NIGAR awards are Pakistan official film and TV awards to appreciate the contribution of talented personalities of Pakistan.

He has also been one of the governing panels of Alhamra arts council for over 25 years.
