Ali Azmat

Ali Azmat is famous Pakistani musician who got his fame by being the lead vocalist in the pop/rock band, Junoon group of Pakistan.  He is such a pride of Pakistani nation who is blessed with the magical voice and the pure taste of music in his blood. After the successful performance in Pakistan, the artist represented the Pakistani nation across the borders and sang for many Bollywood movies. He has given the numerous hits making his name among the favorite singers of all the nations.
His national song, Junoon has always been a source of motivation for the youngsters and youth of Pakistan. He has won numerous awards and has been declared as the best singer by general public polls numerous times. He also has judged different singing competitions to bring forward the new singing sensation of Pakistan.
Born in 20^th April 1970, to a middle class business oriented family in Abbottabad, Ali moved to Lahore for his schooling and education. He joined a group of singers like him to make a band named covers and used to perform on small gatherings, gigs, college festivals and weddings etc. he later composed and wrote his own song dosti, which he brought forward after joining Junoon. At that time, dosti proved to be a great hit giving Ali a spectacular fan following. He is a cousin to a famous singer Mustafa Zahid who is a lead vocalist in the band Roxen.
In March 2005, Ali Azmat launched his first solo album ‘Social circle’ that made him more famous and loved among the audience.  His albums include:

In April 2013, Ali Azmat joined Meesha Shafi, String, Shahzad Hasan and Alamgir as a judge on the singing talent show Cornetto Music Icons aired on ARY Digital. He is also one of the three judges to judge the Pakistan’s first biggest singing competition, Pakistan idol.
