Hadika Kiani

Background
Hadika Kiani is the famous and successful singer of Pakistan who is considered as the proud daughter of Pakistani nation who not only sang in Pakistan but also represented our nation’s talent all over the world. Hadika lost his father at a very young age of three. She was the youngest of all of her three siblings. Her mother was a teacher at a government school and was placed in the arts council due to her intense interest in arts and music. Hadika was always supported by her family for singing career. She used to perform in front of thousands of people in Rawalpindi, her home town at different eves and children festivals.

Early Education
She is not from those who miraculously start singing with no education and practice. She projected herself through a proper channel and received her early education in music by very famous and talented Nargis Naheed. She went on to study at Viqar-un-Nisa Noon Girls High School Pindi. She represented Pakistan in International children festivals in Turkey, Jordan, Bulgaria, and Greece, winning various medals along the way. She also used to be on Sohail Rana's children's program "Rang Barangi Dunya"; a weekly musical on PTV. After her elementary school, she migrated to Lahore to complete her education in Aligarh school where her excellent performance took her to Kinnaird College until she completed her master’s degree from there in psychology major.

Career
In early 90s, Hadika came onto TV to host a children music program from PTV called Angan Taray. In the three and a half year long run, she had sung over eight hundred songs for children and also hosted the same show alongside renowned music Composer Amjad Bobby (Late) and later on with music composer Khalil Ahmed (late).She also appeared as a VJ for a music charts program called Video Junction on NTM. In 1996, Hadiqa's debut had sold over 700,000 thousand copies, a very impressive figure for Pakistan. This milestone came when piracy in Pakistan hit an all-time high. She kept on releasing singles from the album, all of which were received well. These included "Yaad", "Tu Agar Mil Jaata", "Jaan E Jan", and "Manne Di Mauj".

Current Status
Hadika, after getting a lot of success in Pakistani music industry started many new ventures including her fashion boutique at m.m.alm road Lahore and her beauty parlor in DHA Lahore. She is also given the opportunity to judge the upcoming talent of Pakistan through the stage of Pakistani idol, a venture by geo TV to hunt the best voice of Pakistan.
