** Main Responsibilities
Ø  To maintain media contacts, campaigns, on ground activation of “WEG Projects”
Ø  To support the WEG staff and external public relations consultants in developing media strategy, drafting press releases, responding to media inquiries and building dialogue with journalists
Ø  Coordinates, develops and transmits promotional stuff both print and non-print
Ø  Maintenance of regular contact with media and design of awareness campaigns, in print and electronic media
Ø  Ensures that news, press releases, footages and other promotional materials are issued to the media when required
Ø  To develop, implement and maintain, in liaison with other WEG staff and external consultants as required, strong WEG visual branding
Ø  To co-ordinate the production of other internal and external WEG communications, publications and materials, in consultation with HOD
Ø  To contribute to the planning of and arrangements for WEG events, in particular regarding the design and production of materials
Ø  To represent WEG at internal and external events as required
Ø  Content writing, Report writing
Ø  Writing articles
Ø  Liaison with external advertising, design and printing contractors
Ø  Day-to-day management of the WEG website, including updating and ongoing     monitoring, gaining input from HOD as necessary
Ø  Linking activities and campaign to social media and project website
Ø  Monitors and supervises printing and audio/video making process, and takes necessary steps to obtain the desired quality output
 
Success indicators (KPIs):
Ø  Development of minimum one Success Story once in a week
Ø  Once a month 1 TV, 1 radio talk show and 1 interview
Ø  Contacts with Media
Ø  Weekly Two articles in English to be written and one published
Ø  Daily Social Media/Blog Posting Updating
Ø  Development of Weekly content for social Media ( HAYAT, WRC & PRC)
Ø  Strong WEG visual branding
Ø  Maintenance of information database and photo library 
Ø  Drafting of press releases at least three days prior to the event
Ø  Archiving of press releases and articles and other project related documents
Ø  Web site maintenance
Ø  SEO Plan
Ø  Organization of discussions, events, press conferences, briefing sessions, interviews, lunches, etc.
Ø  Monitors and supervises printing and audio/video making process, and takes necessary steps to obtain the desired quality output
Ø  Website updating weekly
Ø  Development of Weekly content for social Media
Ø  Quality implementation of activities ensuring the participation of invitees as per given target
Ø  Development of activity reports including pictures and press releases within two days after the activity
Ø  Assist in developing Work Plans and  Reports
 
Job Specifications
 
Qualification:
Essential: Bachelors degree from HEC recognized university
 
Desirable: MBA/ Masters in Admin/Communications/Social Sciences/Arts
 
Experience:
Ø  Hands-on 04- 06 years communication / media practitioner
Ø  Social development sector experience in execution of research, communication and program/project management

Ø  Issues of Sexual Reproductive, Health Rights (SRHR)
Ø  Communication strategy
Ø  Change management
Ø  Social dynamics & frameworks
Ø  Media planning & relations

Well-versed in the production of research papers, media releases, keynote addresses &
 
Ø  speeches conference materials, policy texts, articles, brochures, pamphlets, documentaries, CD ROMs, Books, case-studies, dissertations, statement of work stations, concept papers, advertisements, websites, Facebook, Twitter other social blogs, newsletters, magazines, and other publications.
Ø  Ability to deliver and organize presentations, media relations, press conferences, events, conferences, video – links, media briefings.
Ø  Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
Ø  Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; to troubleshoot and follow projects through to completion, consistently on schedule, without loss of attention to detail and budget.
