PAVHNA (Pakistan Voluntary Health & Nutrition Association):

Pakistan Voluntary Health and Nutrition Association is a hub of more than 40 NGOs and small community based organizations with devoted members working in different walks of life for the development of our country Pakistan.  PAVHNA was came in to being in 1979 with the purposeful mission of providing nutritional, health related and social benefits to the general public especially women and children under the area of its working.

PAVHNA has more than 30 year’s contribution towards rehabilitation of disaster affected areas.  They launch appeals and work for their successful appeals to support flood affected people of Pakistan.  With the bilateral support from UK based Department for International Development (DFID) PAVHNA has completed reproductive health project in 2005.

Pakistan Voluntary Health and Nutrition Association motivates its members and general public to donate and take part in improving the living standards of needy people and to provide food, nutrition and educational facilities especially to the children.  They have launched an appeal to persuade people for helping street children as they offer contribution of US$2500 per month to save lives of poor needy street children of Pakistan which are reported as at least 5000 in number in their working area.

PAVHNA also understands the role and importance of literacy rate in society and that is why it supports children for their educational purpose, because in fact literacy is the back bone in progress of a country in one way or other.
