Shoukat khanum Cancer Hospital is state of the art cancer treatment hospital and research center in Pakistan founded by a living legend and national hero Imran Khan (former cricketer).   Shoukat khanum Cancer Hospital is a pioneer hospital located in the heart of the Punjab.  As a charitable institute, it is funded mainly from the donations of friends and well-wishers from around the country and across the world.  According to Imran Khan, the inspiration to build the Hospital came from the misfortune and suffering of one individual, Shaukat Khanum, the mother of Imran Khan.

Death of his mother and the personal experience of dealing with cancer in a loved one convinced him of the need for a cancer center with access to everyone, including those who could not otherwise afford the expensive care.  Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is the first and only cancer hospital in our country which is according to international standards, devoted to provide unmatched cure of cancer to all its patients, irrespective of their ability to pay.  SKMCH & RC has spend more than $130 million US dollars (PKR 9 billion) for the purpose of treatment and support of thousands of cancer patients.  Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, has been recognized as one of the most credible and resilient and trustworthy charities in our country Pakistan.
