Sharp (Society for Human Rights and Prisoners’ Aid)
SHARP, Society for Human Rights and Prisoner’s Aid is a nonprofit making and not political NGO working in Pakistan.  Its head office is at Islamabad while it has branches in several other cities like Lahore, Karachi and mianwali.
SHARP has raised voice for human rights generally and for prisoner’s rights specifically.  They have a big project called “JUVENILE JUSTICE PROJECT” in association with Provincial Govt. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Federal Republic of Germany.
Under Juvenile Justice Project Society of Human Rights & Prisoner’s AID (SHARP) in collaboration with federal republic of Germany will try to resolve these issues specially:
  1. Improving Juvenile Section (central Jail Peshawar)
  2. Providing basic facilities of Health/Hygiene/sports/Entertainment
  3. Legal assistance
  4. Training for stakeholders to sensitize about juveniles and children rights
  5. Skill development
  6. Education facilities to juvenile prisoners
Besides this SHARP is working as a partner of UNHCR in several projects and it is also working on HIV/Aids Project.  It has organized its Child Care Centers and a monthly “alqanoon” is the publication of SHARP for the awareness of human rights causes among general public.
