Abdul Sattar Edhi

Introduction:

Abdul Sattar Edhi is a Pakistani social worker, ascetic and humanity helper. He is running the foundation named “Edhi Foundation” in Pakistan and known as the Angel of Mercy and is consider being the most respected person and the well known personality in the Pakistan and is globally renowned personality. He is getting the noble price and The Huffington Post said that the Abdul Sattar Edhi is the world largest land the greatest living humanitarian. He is the “father Teresa” of the Pakistani people. He is running the welfare organization single handed and gather the donations with the private company and from the citizens of the Islamic republic of Pakistan.

Early Life:

He was born around the 1926-28 in Bantva in the Gujarat, British India.  When he was at the age of 11 his mother suffer from the paralyzed and died when he was 19 years old. He personally cares his mother when she is ill.  In the partition of subcontinent of India Edhi family migrated to Pakistan in 14 Aug 1947. He then shifted to Karachi and started working as a salesman in a wholesale shop. His mother gives him 1 paisa for eating meal and one for giving to the needy people. He also started peddler and become commission agent of the selling cloth in Karachi wholesale market. He work hard and with the help of his community, he open a free dispensary. He started working when flu is spread in Karachi and no one trat and cure them. Then he decided to set the branches and begged on the streets for the donations and starts his work from the 8-by-8.

Charity Life:

He got the recognization y doing a lot of the charity work and dedicates his whole life in aiding the poor and the needy humanity. He is the one who change the face of the charity in the history of the Pakistan. He founded the EDHI Foundation and Edhi Trust which later change with the name of Bilqis Edhi Trust. He is the guardian of many poor children’s and the people. The Edhi foundation runs the largest ambulance service 24 hours a day in Pakistan. He not only help the Pakistan humanity but also play a vital role in doing the Relief operation in the countries like Africa, Middle East, US, Eastern Europe in the year 2005. He gets many national and international awards for his work
