What does Quran says about Divorce

Islam is a complete code of life and tells us about all the sufficient information we might need to know to solve all the matters of our life. One should be very careful while taking decisions like divorce and should refer to the Quranic verses so that if someone really has to do it in any case, he should perform it according to the light of Quranic verses. Here are some Quranic verses with reference that are related to the act of divorce in Islam.
-          This divorce [in which the husband can revoke his decision in the Iddat period] is permitted twice only. (2:229)
-          "And the divorced women (after the pronouncement of the divorce) must wait for three monthly courses... and their husbands are fully entitled to take them back (as their wives) during this waiting period, if they desire reconciliation." (Al Baqarah 228)
-
-          "Then, if the husband divorces his wife (for the third time), she shall not remain lawful for him after this divorce, unless she marries another husband..." (Al-Baqarah : 230)
-          "When you marry the believing women, and then divorce them before you have touched them, they do not have to fulfill a waiting period, the completion of which you may demand of them." (Al-Ahzab : 49)
-          "And if those of you who die, leave wives behind, the women should abstain (from marriage) for four months and ten days." (Al-Baqarah 234)
-          And women shall have rights similar to the rights of men against them, in kindness, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And God is exalted in Power, Wise. (Qur’an 2:228)
-          Let the women live in the same style as you live, according to your means, and do not harm them in order to oppress them And if they carry (life in their wombs), then spend (your substance) on them until they deliver their burden: and if they suckle your (offspring), give them their recompense and take mutual counsel together, according to what is just and reasonable Let a man of wealth spend from his wealth, and he whose provision is restricted, let him spend from what God has given him. (Qur’an 65:6—65:7)
