Fundamentals of Islam

FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAM

WHAT IS FAITH???

Faith is trust, hope, and belief in the goodness, trustworthiness or reliability of a person, concept, or entity. It can also refer to beliefs that are not based on proof (e.g. faith that a child will grow up to be a good person).

FAITH IN ISLAM

It is the trust and believes in Islamic concepts. Fundamentals of faith in Islam are:
·         Believe in ALLAH (that he is the only one to worship)
·         Believe in prophets (that they only taught ALLAH’s message)
·         Believe in hereafter (the day of judgment, that we will be asked for what we have been doing in the word)
·         Believe in angels
·         Believe in holy books

FAITH IN ALLAH

Faith in Allah means that we believe by tongue and heart that Allah is the only god. Only he deserves to be worshipped. There is no god but Allah. He is the only super power. He is the creator of entire universe. The word Allah is genderless, and does not have a plural. Muslims devote their worship to Allah, and try to obey and please Allah in all spheres of their life, out of thankfulness and love, coupled with fear and awe.
He has no companion, no son, no father, as it is said in holy Quran.
“He is Allah, the One and only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him.”

EXISTENCE OF ALLAH

Allah exists within us. If we think for a moment logically, even a cup cannot be made without any creator, than there must be someone who created this entire universe and complex structure. He is none other than ALLAH the vital power.
The Qur’an has clearly told us that the proof of the existence of Allah lies within our selves
“Who have sure faith, and within your own selves, so do you  not see? ”
If we believe in Allah by the core of our heart, we will realize that whenever we are struck in any problem, he helps us. Whenever we pray, he listens. He is even more near than our heartbeat.

ALLAH THE SUPER POWER

We have to blindly trust that only Allah is the super power. He is the creator of entire universe. Only he knows that how the whole complex system of universe is running smoothly .only he has the power to modify it. From the mountains to the deep oceans he knows everything. He alone has the Full knowledge about every big or small thing of all. Everything seeks his permission to work.

FAITH IN PROPHETS

Who is a prophet???
In religion, a prophet is an individual who is claimed to have been contacted by the supernatural or the divine, and serves as an intermediary with humanity, delivering this newfound knowledge from the supernatural entity to other people.

PROPHETS ARE HUMANS LIKE US

Being a Muslim its necessary for us to believe in prophets as prophets only teach us those things which are said by Allah to him. Every prophet preached Islam and Allah’s message but people used to deny. People asked to prove themselves Allah’s messenger by showing some miracles. Allah’s granted them with miracles in order to make people believe but people started saying that prophets are not Allah’s messengers in fact they are magicians and play tricks.
So, it’s mandatory for us to believe that prophets are humans like us, they eat, sleep, work, get marry etc.

ALL PROPHETS ARE EQUAL

They convey the message of Allah to mankind. Islam teaches that Allah sent numerous prophets to different peoples for different times and places, starting with Adam, including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses and Jesus, and ending with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them all). Muslims honor all the Prophets of Allah and regard them as role models. Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), being the final prophet, is affirmed by the Quran to be sent to all of mankind until the end of the world. The Quran is the Book revealed to Prophet Muhammad, transmitted word-for-word by the Angel Gabriel from Allah. It presents itself as a miracle of style and content - the greatest sign attesting to the veracity of Muhammad. It challenges mankind to produce something comparable to its majestic language, and also offers comprehensive guidance for mankind. The Prophet Muhammad transmitted the Quran to the believers, who memorized and preserved it during his very lifetime.

FAITH IN MIRACLES OF PROPHET

WE should have complete faith in prophet’s miracles. Allah blessed them with miracles to make people believe that he is the only super power and they are his messengers. There were thousands of miracles for e.g. Incidence of Ascension {Mi’raj}, musa’s stick, etc

The life in the Hereafter (Day of Judgment)

The universe has been created purposefully. It is a well-organized system of which every component testifies that it has been created with great wisdom. Every phenomenon is governed by a law, the discovery of which has established man to design his social and economic living. This all indicates that the Almighty, the Wise Being, must have a purpose and a scheme in creating this world and entrusting its affairs to His creation, human beings, endowed with great mental and physical capabilities, powers and authority, and freedom of action and choice.
Then is it possible and logical that the whole record of man's life-activity will be just set aside after his death without any accountability? Hence justice demands that there should be another life in which man has to live according to the performance of his deeds in this world. That world should be the world for receiving the reward or punishment. So, there will be a life after death, we will be questioned for each and every deed we did on the earth. We will be punished for bad deeds and rewarded for good deeds. Good people will be sent to heaven n rest to hell. So we should have believed in this. Before doing anything we must think that we need to justify it after death.
