Reshma

Reshma was a well-known and a famous folk singer and got the name after singing “Dama Dama Mast Kalander”, “Hai O Rabba”, “Ankiyan nu rehen de”and “Lambi Judai”. These songs are the famous numbers of the legendary singer Reshma. She is honored with Sitara-e-Imtiaz award by the government of Pakistan in 2005 and also receives the Pride of Performance award in 1982. She is popular in Pakistan and as well as in India.

She sings many songs for the bollywood industry and gets a good appreciation from them. She also meets the Indian Prime Minister Indra Ghandi. She sings songs for the film “Hero” and “Woh Tera Naam Tha”. She is a mother of one son and a daughter who also sings in the concert attended by Reshma in London at Brunei Gallery. She is a cancer patient for many years and died on 3 November 2013 in Lahore, Pakistan.
