Shahid Afridi

Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridii is famous as the Boom Boom Afridi and born on 1^st march 1980. He is a Pakistani well-known and promising cricketer and the captain of the twenty20 international team of Pakistan. He is consider as the legend in the Pakistan cricket history and have the wider fan following not in Pakistan but also at international level. He always is known for the big-hitting cricketers. He holds the record of most taking wickets that is 97 and become the man of the match in many twenty20 intentional cricket tournaments.

He plays aggressively and previously held the record of making the century in the 37 deliveries. He also set the record of hitting the most number of sixes in the ODI cricket. He considers himself a better bowler as compare to the batsman. He took the 48 wickets in test matches and over 350 in the ODIs. He is also leading in the twenty 20 wicket chart of taking the most wickets in 92 matches.
Shahid afridi took the charge of Pakistani cricket team’s captaincy in June 2009 from the Younas Khan and afterwards took the charge of captaincy in ODIs in the year of 2010 in Asia Cup. He also become the captain of the Test cricket but after playing one match he decided to take resignation and resign from it and also take the retirement from the test matches.

He is also doing the charity work and establishes a “Shahid Afridi foundation” which works for health and education facilities for the needy Pakistani people. He establishes this foundation in the year 2014. He is married and has the four beautiful daughters. He is famous among all the youth and Pakistani media give him the tribute by making the film “Main hoon Shahid Afridi” in which he done the cameo. He also won the awards from median in year 2007 and 2011 of the “Most Stylish Sportsperson” from the lux Style Awards.
