Faisalabad is known as the Switzerland of Pakistan. It was named as “Layllpur” in old times and later changed to Faisalabad. 1)The Clock Tower
The clock Tower, also known as the “GHANTA GHAR” is the signature of Faisalabad. People from different areas specially visit to Faisalabad to see the clock tower. It is one of the oldest monuments still standing in its original state from the period of the British rule. It was built by the British, when they ruled much of the South Asia during the nineteenth century. It is great in its architecture and the majestic clock can be seen from very far away that still shows the correct time.



2)Layllpur museum
It is one the very famous cultural heritage museum in Faisalabad that is named on the city’s old name to represent its culture and heritage.  It has galleries which show the ancient and modern culture of Faisalabad.



3)     Dhobi Ghaat
Dhobi Ghat, Also Known As Iqbal Park is a pitch located in the center of the city near the railway station. It is the large ground which is now used for various purposes. It is said that somewhere in the old times, the ground was occupied by the laundrymen of the entire city who used to wash the clothes here in this ground. The similar ground is located in India as well where laundrymen still unite to work. However, the ground is not used by the laundrymen now but a government property and used for various events.

4)     Local Food
Faisalabad is rich in its cultural and local food. It has the same Punjabi cuisine like other cities of Punjab. They are the food lovers and love to eat spicy food including fish, rice and other common Pakistani food. They have the best rice and wheat.
