1)AGA KHAN UNIVERSITIES
Established 25 years ago by His Highness the Aga Khan, Aga Khan University is the fulfillment of his vision to create an institution "on the frontiers of scientific and humanistic knowledge, radiating intelligence and confidence, issuing research and sending forth graduates into flourishing economies and progressive legal and political systems."
In short, Aga Khan University was created to bring about real and lasting improvement in the lives of the poor and people of need.
Chartered in 1983 and founded on the principles of quality, access, impact and relevance, Aga Khan University continues as a private, autonomous university, where today Academic Programs and Professional Development courses can be found across 3 continents and 8 countries.

2)University of Karachi
Spread over 1200 acres of land, University of Karachi was established through the parliament as a Federal University in 1951. However, through another act of the parliament in 1962 its status was redefined as university of the province of Sindh. On 23rd October, 1950 the Karachi University Act was passed and after an amendment in 1951, it was enacted and Prof A. B. A Haleem was appointed as its first Vice Chancellor. For the first two years, the University of Karachi remained as an examination University for the affiliated colleges. In the year 1953, it started its teaching and research activities at two Faculties of Arts and Science. Opened with an initial intake of 50 students, the university is now a sprawling structure of 53 Departments and 20 world class and highly reputable Research Centers and Institutes, under eight faculties of Arts, Science, Islamic Studies, Pharmacy, Management and Administrative Sciences, Law, Education and Medicine. At present, the enrolment of regular students at the Campus is slightly over 24,000. There are over 800 teachers and more than 2500 supporting staff.

3)Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST)
Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) is a fully Chartered Institute established through a Legislative Act of Sindh Assembly (Sindh Act No. XI of 1995) and is approved and recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, as a degree granting institution. SZABIST has campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Larkana and Dubai (UAE). SZABIST is a registered member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), Paris; Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), London; Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB), Singapore; Federation of the Universities of Islamic World (FUIW), Rabat; Asia University Federation (AUF), Seoul; Asia – Pacific Quality Network (APQN), China; and Management Association of Pakistan, Karachi.

4)Hamdard university
The name Hamdard however acquired a still wider meaning, when Hakim Mohammed Said founded Hamdard University in 1991. The establishment of a university which could enliven the intellectual tradition of the educational institutions of the golden era of Muslim civilization had always been his most cherished dream. In fact it was the central point towards which all his endeavors were directed. The actual appearance of the university was just the culmination of a long dedicated and continued effort spanning his whole life.

5)Institute of business administration
IBA is the oldest business school outside North America. It was established in 1955 with initial technical support provided by the world famous Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania; later, the University of Southern California set up various facilities at the Institute and several prominent American professors were assigned to the IBA. The course contents, the curriculum, the pedagogical tools and the assessment and testing methods were developed under the guidance of reputed scholars from these two institutions. IBA has zealously guarded the high standards and academic traditions it had inherited from Wharton and USC while adapting and adjusting them with the passage of time.
