The government of Pakistan has been discovering the concealed beauty of nature for many years and trying to build an attractive spot for tourists. There are various areas where tourists can hang out while in their free time. But the destination we will discuss, it is gaining popularity with the passage of time. In the beautiful and attractive northern areas of Pakistan, where many places have their own significance important. Ansoo Lake has become substantially valuable.   

 The discovery of Ansoo Lake was a coincidence. Pakistan Air Force pilot who was flying low in this area in 1993. Actually, before this, no one knows about this Lake. Even the locals didn’t have any information regarding this place until the pilot reveal it. After that in 2010, a team from Peshawar marched to Ansoo Lake and endorse this Lake beauty to inform people about the exquisiteness of this lack.    

Ansoo Lake is situated in the Kaghan valley which is the area of District Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is supposedly called the highest Lake of Himalayas because of its level. Ansoo Lake is 1400 feet above than sea level. It is located near Malika e Parbat (Queens of the Mountains). A very famous and interesting story linked with this lake.

According to the local people, there was a prince Saif ul Malook who fell in love with a fairy princess Badar-ul-Jamal. He saw her in his dream. The prince was impatient until some holy man told him where he can find her. There was a complication between them because the prince was human and the princess was fairy so the prince has to face many problems. Prince started the march to that place where is a lake now. Prince wait at this place at least 12 years after many years princess showed up and after some mysterious story, they fell into love with each other and decide to marry. How the story can complete without a villain. Obviously, there was a villain in the shape of a white giant. He also wants to marry the princess and was crying because of the prince and princess love. Lake formed by giant tears. There are two ways to reach the lake.

First, you can take a short cut from Saif ul Malook Lake and you will be reached in 9 hours at the lake through the walk. Therefore, it is recommended not to go there after dawn. Stay in a night at the Saif ul Malook Lake and start trekking towards lake early morning.

The second way is that you can go through the village Mhahandri, it is located near Narran.  The distance between Narran and this village is 40 kilometers. You will be reached at Ansoo Lake in three days through this approach. Although, a jeep trek will lead you to Village Manor. Through this way, you will see the other beauty of nature if you choose this way.

But we are recommending you if you are planning to go the Ansoo Lake. Then you shouldn’t go there without a guide. Because of the Ansoo Lake high altitude, it is suggested by the government of Pakistan you should visit this area in July and August. Because the whole year, this Lake covered with snow.     

The number of tourists has been increasing with the passage of time because of this lake beauty and became a way to earn the money for locals. They provide every facility to the tourists also try to protect them from harmful factors. So you should visit once in your life to the Ansoo Lake.
