1)Baluchistan University of Information Technology, Engineering & Management Sciences
According to higher education commission, the university is ranked at 51 among the top universities of Pakistan. The foundations of Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering & Management Sciences are laid on the sound principles of excellence in academic standards, equity, equality, sincerity of purpose, and the vision for the future. The university is fully functional as a premier seat of higher education and research. All university statutory bodies like the Senate, the Syndicate, Academic Council, Board of Advanced Studies, Departmental Boards of Study, Finance and Planning Committee and Selection Board are in place in accordance with Amendment Ordinance 2007.These bodies are represented by top class academicians, administration and educational leaders.

2)University of Balochistan
Retaining the image of rank 87, The University of Balochistan, Quetta is the oldest educational Institution of higher learning of the province entrusted with the responsibilities to educate and train the potentially talented human resource and manpower to meet the emerging needs of the industry and society. It plays a vital role in development of Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular. The province of Balochistan is passing through a process of rapid socio-economic development which needs well qualified and competent scientists, professionals, academicians and administrators. The University is cognizant of this need and prepared to provide meaningful higher education to the youth of the province.

3)Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University
Balochistan has the privilege to house the Pakistan’s third and Baluchistan’s first Women’s University at Quetta. The need for a women’s university in Balochistan was felt for many decades. This need was finally realized when the Governor of Balochistan, Mr. Owais Ahmed Ghani, promulgated an Ordinance No. 1 of 2004 to establish the Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University in Quetta. On 26th August 2004 Balochistan Provincial Assembly passed The Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University Act.
